Microamp Participates in the 6G and Future Networks Conference in London

Microamp will participate in the 6G and Future Networks conference, being part of the Space and Communications Week 2025. The event, taking place from 17 to 18 June 2025 at Savoy Place in London, is organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

6G and Future Networks conference gathers the industry’s leading regulators, government representatives, Telecom players, 6G implementors and researchers. It is a great opportunity to present and discuss forward-looking strategies and technological roadmaps for the evolution of 6G technology.

On Wednesday 18 June 2025, Marcin Góralczyk, CTO & co-founder of Microamp, will take part the the industry panel “ESA’s 5G / 6G Hub: a catalyst for innovation, projects, and partnership opportunities in converged satellite and terrestrial 6G networks”, scheduled for 09:35-10:50am at the Riverside Room. Marcin will speak about key connectivity challenges addressed by 5G mmWave non-terrestrial networks (NTN). 5G mmWave NTN integrates millimeter wave with non-terrestrial platforms (LEO/MEO/GEO satellites, HAPS). It expands the coverage, enables always-available connectivity and eliminates legacy satellite limitations. This ultra-fast global connectivity combined with cost-efficiency has a strategic and economic impact enabling new use cases.

In January 2025 Microamp secured a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to provide Microamp 5G mmWave private network for ESA's 5G/6G Hub at Harwell Campus. The partnership marks a significant step in developing satellite-integrated 5G NTN, advancing both civilian and defense capabilities. More information about this project can be found here

About Space and Communications Week

The Space and Communications Week event combines three conferences: International Satcoms, Quantum Technologies and 6G and Future Networks. International Satcoms conference focuses on key technologies impacting space communication. Quantum Technologies conference explores and examines the numerous quantum technologies being theorised, developed, and produced. 6G and Future Networks conference gathers industry leaders to share their vision and plan for the 6G technology development.

This event unites three crucial sectors – Space Communication, Telecommunication, and Quantum technologies – on one platform. It fosters discussions on policies, projects, and research within each industry, exploring their collective impact on the future of engineering. The aim is to demonstrate how these sectors can collaborate to advance broader space capabilities and facilitate 6G communication.
