In October 2021, Microamp became a proud, full member of the 6G & Infrastructure Association(previously 5G-IA), a leading organization attempting to set a European vision for the future of 5G and 6G mmWave networks.
The 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) is the voice of European Industry and Research for next-generation networks and services. Its primary objective is to contribute to Europe’s leadership on 5G, beyond 5G and SNS/6G research.
The 6G-IA represents the private side in the 5G Public-Private Partnership (5G-PPP) and the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), while the European Commission represents the public side.
The 6G-IA brings together a global industry community of telecoms & digital actors, such as operators, manufacturers, research institutes, universities, verticals, SMEs, and ICT associations. It carries out a wide range of activities in strategic areas, including standardization, frequency spectrum, R&D projects, technology skills, collaboration with key vertical industry sectors, notably for the development of trials, and international cooperation.
Microamp's contribution to the organization and European communication market will be focused on developing and popularising 5G mmWave technology and open standards.
Together with our 6G-IA partners, we will build the future of 5G and 6G by developing new connectivity standards within the European Union, driving digital transformation through research and technology development, and ensuring a clear European voice on 5G and 6G.
