Microamp has secured a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) to provide Microamp 5G mmWave private network for ESA's 5G/6G Hub at Harwell Campus. The partnership marks a significant step in developing satellite-integrated 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), advancing both civilian and defense capabilities.

As Europe's leading 5G mmWave technology provider, Microamp will collaborate with Creotech Instruments S.A. in the initial phase to synchronize terrestrial 5G mmWave networks with their satellite components. This foundational work will enable the development of an NTN base station system.

The partnership announcement was made during the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Microamp CEO Dawid Kuchta and Creotech Instruments CEO Grzegorz Brona presented their vision for satellite-connected 5G infrastructure.

"This collaboration with ESA represents a crucial step toward integrating terrestrial and space-based communications," said Dawid Kuchta. "By combining our multi-gigabit mmWave technology with satellite capabilities, we're creating new possibilities for global connectivity while strengthening Europe's technological sovereignty."

The project advances Microamp's commitment to innovation in next-generation communication technologies and reinforces Europe's leadership position in advanced telecommunications infrastructure.
